With everything from small tidal streams to large powerful rivers, these areas can offer some of the best fishing opportunities along our coast.
Seaweed covered rocks giving way to cold, clear, clean water. This is the image many picture when they think of Maine. Here we will likely be throwing medium to large baitfish patterns with sinking lines.
At first glance, sandy beaches may appear devoid of fish holding structure, but take a closer look and you'll see small rips, drop-offs, and boulder fields. One of the more challenging areas to fish, hooking and fighting a striper in the surf is an exciting experience for angler and guide.
Quiet backwaters and shallow estuaries, lighter rods and smaller flies. A favorite place of mine to bring new anglers to introduce them to fly fishing saltwater.
While a day of fishing could include any one or a combination of these places, I'm happy to tailor a trip for an angler's preferences and experience.
