
With everything from small tidal streams to large powerful rivers, rivermouths can be very productive. As bait moves in and out with the tide, these areas become ambush points for hungry stripers. An outgoing tide at sunrise can make for a memorable experience.

Seaweed-covered rocks giving way to cold, clear, clean water is the quintessential image many envision when they think of Maine. In these areas we will likely be throwing medium to large baitfish patterns with sinking lines.

At first glance, sandy beaches may appear devoid of fish holding structure, but take a closer look and you'll see small rips, drop-offs, and boulder fields. One of the more challenging spots to fish, hooking and fighting a striper in the surf wis an exciting experience for both angler and guide.

Quiet backwaters and shallow estuaries... I love bringing new anglers here to introduce them to fly fishing the salt. Typically we will be using lighter rods and smaller flies.
